Training Available in Swath Sonar Surveying
through the
Ocean Mapping Group, UNB

© OMG/UNB

As part of the education and training available through the Department of Geodesy and Geomatics Engineering UNB, a variety of training courses are offered in the theoretical, operational, and processing aspects of swath sonar surveying techniques (of which multibeam sonars are a major part).

The external training is now provided in a single format that includes a 36 lecture series given by four instructors. The training is either provided to a single institution for internal training or publicly for all comers. The course content is also provided as part of the graduate and undergraduate hydrographic training within the Dept. of Geodesy and Geomatics Engineering at UNB.
