We captured this Mooring Deployment with the Amundsen's EM302 multibeam. The water column image proves to be a usefull tool to monitor the descend of the mooring. The mooring consists of a string of oceanographic instrumentation and floater balls. A set of train wheels are used as weight at the end of the string. The animation below shows the weight descending and the floats following it. Shortly after touch down the water column becomes noisy because the ship is in reverse.
