Executive Summary

Primary Findings - Summer 2019 Field Season

The 2019 summer field season of the CSL Heron, extended from April to October and involved deploying a variety of sensors across the active part of the Squamish prodelta.




Wot we've done so far.....

April -
recovered two of the pressure gauges.....

Deployed three hydrophones - all now with acoustic releases - all now with 192 kHz logging...

Survey updates...

June to do:

First LEG :

resurvey as always..
daily surveys along axis

Extra buoy upstream with 1200 kHz ADCP
download 600 kHz ADCP and add extra battery pack and frame

recover, download and redeploy the 3 x hydrophones.

fish for the one un-recovered pressure gauge.

Deploy 4 more pressure gauges.

Second LEG :

resurvey as usual

deploy the DDS 9001
daily surveys along axis




2020 field program thoughts

As always, the long term, the aim of continuing the Squamish monitoring program is to :
haven't yet thought what we will do for 2020 as depends on 2019 results. ....
