The
Musquash Estuary is one of many
estuaries in New Brunswick in the Bay of Fundy and is located
approximately 20 kilometers to the West of Saint John. It is the
only major estuary in the Bay of Fundy that has not yet been seriously
degraded by human development. On 17 June
2005, the Conservation Council of New Brunswick announced that the
Musquash Estuary will be designated as Canada's first coastal marine
protected area (see media
release). As such, there is much interest in understanding
the circulation of water from the Bay of Fundy into the estuary. For more information on the Musquash visit the following web sites: |
