The waveform toolkit is launched with the 'WC' botton in swathed. The upper part shows the waveforms
from a complete scan, the lower part shows the waveforms individualy. Be scrolling through the scans (or swaths) in the main swathed window
(place mouse in the "longitudinal profile" box and use arrow keys)
the waveforms grouped per scan are up-dated. By scrolling through the beams in the main swathed window (place mouse in "swath profile" box
and use arrow keys) the associated waveforms are shown in the lower window.
Waveforms of each channel are displayed:
- green laser PMT waveform (yellow)
- green laser GAPD waveform (cyan)
- infrared waveform (red)
- Raman waveform (green)
Toggle the waveform channels on/off with the buttoms in the bottom or strike:
- 'p' for PMT waveforms,
- 'g' for GAPD waveforms,
- 'i' for infrared waveforms,
- 'r' for Raman waveforms,
To change to (horizontal) exageration of the scan-wise grouped waveforms, place the mouse on one of the waveform buttons, then hit
'+' or '-'. Use the left/ right arrow keys to adjust the horizontal scale of the individual waveforms.
When the mouse is located in the lower box (individual waveforms) you can use the following
key strokes:
- 'q' queries a waveform. Prints waveform parameter data on screen
- 'w' dump an ascii list of the waveform on screen
- 'y' classifies the waveform:
- valid (detecable bottom return) or
- invalid ("weak" or "deep")
If the program processSHOALSdepths was run on the merged file, the derived depths are displayed
according to the classification. The green line indicates the trailing edged.
- 'o' shows markers for:
top surface return, start-, top-, end- of bottom return, 50% leading edge
When in 'o'-mode:
- '1' or '2' gives the first or second derivative
- 'k' depicts the system attenuation curve (k_sys)
- 'l' detrended waveform based on k_sys
